Kwame Simmons knows his way around the political spheres of American society. He was only hanging around Florida's state legislature to study the legislative process along with a select group of other educators. He was approached for his input on pending legislation. He gave it. Ninety percent of what he suggested was accepted by the legislation's sponsor and is now codified in Florida education law. And he's just reaching his thirties.
My favorite part of this episode is when Kwame breaks down some ways to affect policy most of us don't think about. That Masters Degree in public policy was not wasted.
